The hail protection cover is made of particularly high-quality and specially developed, protected hybrid foam. The foam consists of an approximately 7 mm thick layer, which ensures optimal hail absorption and puncture protection. The hail protection cover has a total thickness of approximately 8 mm. A paint-protecting fleece is attached to the inside, and the outer layer is made of water-repellent material. The side material is also water-repellent and has a silver coating. Four reflectors are attached to the outer surface, and the red fluorescent edging further increases visibility.

The protective effect of the Premium Hybrid hail protection cover was tested under controlled conditions using a simulated hailstorm drop test. Steel balls of three different weights were dropped from different heights onto a hood covered with a hail protection cover. The impact of the steel balls was then visually assessed based on the dents formed on the hood. The test results showed that the Premium Hybrid hail protection cover provides protection against hailstones up to approximately 14 mm in diameter at an impact speed of 70 km/h.

The cover is available in five different sizes and is relatively easy to install thanks to elastic seams. The hail protection cover is attached to the underside of the car with a snap fastener to prevent it from being blown away. Only install the hail protection cover on parked vehicles on private roads and remove it immediately after the storm has passed. Please note that condensation and moisture can form under the cover during prolonged heavy rain and when there is a lot of moisture in the air and ground. Condensation can also form under the cover during sharply fluctuating temperatures. This occurs regardless of whether the cover is waterproof or not. That's why it's all the more important to regularly remove the tarpaulin from the car, air it out, and dry it.
