- The basic hail protection for your vehicle
Large, threatening clouds are gathering, and your car is parked outside in your private parking space because you don't have a garage. Then it starts to hail heavily, and everyone hopes that nothing too bad happens to the car. However, you can watch the spectacle in peace, because your car is completely safe and protected from hailstones by the hail protection cover.
The hail protection cover is padded with a 4 mm thick neoprene foam layer. This absorbs the force of the hail impact very well, providing optimal protection for the hood, roof, and trunk. The hail protection cover has a total thickness of approximately 5 mm. The product is water-repellent and has a paint-protecting fleece lining on the inside. Four reflectors are attached to the outside, and the ultra-orange edging further increases visibility. There are also two ventilation openings to ensure good ventilation.
The tarpaulin is available in five different sizes and is relatively easy to install thanks to elastic seams. Attach the hail protection tarpaulin to the underside of the car with the sewn-in arrow facing forward using the sewn-in snap fastener. Only install the hail protection tarpaulin on parked vehicles on private roads and remove it immediately after the storm has passed. Please note that condensation and moisture can form under the cover if it rains heavily for an extended period and there is a lot of moisture in the air and ground. Condensation can also form under the cover during sharply fluctuating temperatures. This occurs regardless of whether the tarpaulin is waterproof or not. That's why it's all the more important to regularly remove the tarpaulin from the car, air it out, and dry it.
Customers who have also purchased a hail protection tarpaulin often ask:
- What does the tarpaulin protect against?
Our hail protection tarpaulin protects against hail, freezing rain, snow, severe weather, as well as pollen, bird droppings, and other external influences.
- How is the hail protection tarpaulin attached?
Attach the tarpaulin to the underside of the car with the snap fasteners, with the sewn-in arrow facing forward, and pull the straps tight.
- Why should the hail protection tarpaulin be removed after a storm?
If the cover remains on the vehicle for an extended period, moisture can build up underneath, which can significantly reduce the lifespan of the tarpaulin. We recommend removing the tarpaulin after a storm and drying it thoroughly before reusing it.
Please note: Our hail protection tarpaulins are not UV-resistant. Direct UV exposure damages the tarpaulin and reduces its lifespan. Therefore, be sure to remove it after use and do not leave it on the vehicle permanently!
