The card game Unstable Unicorns is all about your absolute favorite things: unicorns and destruction. Over 20 different magical unicorns can be collected, each with its own special abilities. Your task is to build your army as quickly as possible and protect your stable with magic. Sounds simple? Not so fast! Only the first player to complete their army will become the rightful ruler of all things magical... at least until the next game.
Unstable Unicorns is played in turns. All players start with five black cards and one baby unicorn card. Each turn consists of four phases: At the beginning, any card effects are triggered. Then, you draw a card from the draw pile. In the subsequent action phase, you can perform one of the following actions. You can either play a unicorn, magic, devaluation, or enhancement card from your hand and place it in a stable, or you draw another card from the draw pile. The hand limit is seven, unless otherwise stated. Excess cards must be discarded. The first player to place seven unicorns (six unicorns for six to eight players) in their stable wins. But always be on your guard! Your fellow players can also steal your unicorns from the stable.
