This is the latest kit from Vanguard Models. It is the most comprehensive design to date, with a large number of pre-cut and engraved parts spread across 33 sheets of mainly pearwood, with high-quality MDF used for the hull framework. The laser-engraved decks are constructed from maple plywood, and we also include plywood decks for the forecastle and aft deck if you wish to plank them yourself (planking material is not supplied for this option). Walnut dowels are provided for the masts and yards.
This model, which is aimed at advanced modelers, is estimated to take an average of 400-800 hours to complete.
