In 2019, SBB Cargo International, in cooperation with SüdLeasing GmbH, ordered 20 Vectron locomotives from Siemens Mobility. The locomotives are equipped for use in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, and the Netherlands (DACHINL). To celebrate the opening of the office in the Netherlands, one locomotive received a special design. Among railway enthusiasts, the locomotive is called the "Hollandpiercer".
