For the Deutsche Bahn tourist train, in addition to the 103 220, the 218 416 and the 218 418 received a special livery from autumn 1995. In this special water-land-sun-sky design and with specially converted carriages, two trains ran to various destinations in Germany and neighboring countries. From 2003 to 2006, number 218 418 with this colorful design was in use in the Southeast Bavarian Railway's regional network.
