The African Queen gave its name to a film starring Katherine Hepburn and Humphrey Bogart. The story is set during the First World War, in which the African Queen, after a long and perilous journey down the lake's tributaries, attacks the German warship Königin Luise on Lake Victoria in Africa.
The Billing Boats kit includes a molded plastic hull and a detailed mock-up of a steam engine with a vertical boiler. As a special highlight, this engine is powered by a second electric motor, creating the illusion of a steam-powered model. Experienced modelers can perfect the impression by installing our steam engine sound module.
All wooden parts are precisely laser-cut. A large construction plan sheet, assembly instructions, and further illustrations, as well as all the wood, plastic, and fittings required for assembly, are included.
