If you have the AL-KO Multi-tool MT 40, you can easily transform the base unit into a small, handy, and lightweight cordless grass trimmer or brush cutter with the BCA 4030 attachment. Thanks to the tool-free quick-change system, the attachment can be attached in a snap.

Even switching from the trimmer head for precise trimming along lawn edges, in corners, around trees, etc., to the robust metal blade for mowing dense meadows and grasses is done entirely without tools.

With the lightweight, low-vibration attachment, you can trim and mow with the same precision as with a real brush cutter. The battery-powered base unit gives you a high degree of freedom of movement without having to worry about cable routing. It is quiet, emission-free, and maintenance-friendly in operation – and can therefore be used independently of fixed downtimes.

When disassembled, both the MT 40 base unit and the BCA 4030 attachment can be transported and stored very space-savingly.

Absolutely versatile thanks to the interchangeable cutting head: The 23 cm long metal blade allows you to easily cut through even dense grass and roots. However, it can be replaced in a flash with the gentle line head with a cutting width of up to 30 cm. You can set the optimal line length while mowing with the automatic tip function by simply tapping the trimmer head on the ground.

With a total weight of 4.2 kg including base unit and battery, the BCA 4030 scythe attachment is very light and easy to handle. The 40 V/5 Ah EnergyFlex battery with Li-ion technology delivers enough power for 40 minutes of mowing/trimming—ideal for the home garden. A depleted battery can be recharged in approximately 2 hours.
