Self-cleaning roofs using rainwater.
The roof cleaning tape ensures a presentable roof from the first rain shower. When renovating green roofs, a thorough cleaning is required; afterward, the roof cleaning tape slows the buildup of dirt.
The roof cleaning tape is a special copper tape whose special surface structure forces rainwater to linger for a long time. The special surface achieves an effective depth of 7 m. If your roof is longer, a second strip of roof cleaning tape is used.
Caution: The roof cleaning tape can only be used with galvanized gutters if they are coated with a long-term protective coating.
The roof cleaning tape is installed directly below the ridge tile, or in the case of interruptions such as skylights, chimneys, etc., an additional strip is installed below. It is installed by gluing it onto the roof tiles. The adhesive is already applied to the underside; you simply need to remove the protective film and press the roof cleaning tape onto the roof tile. We recommend subsequently pressing the adhesive in place with a seam roller.
The roof cleaning tape should not be used at temperatures below 15°C and above 35°C. Good adhesion is not guaranteed if the temperature is exceeded or undercut during processing.
The copper components dissolved in rainwater must not come into direct contact with less noble metals, such as zinc or steel.
Note: The copper tape is not suitable for glazed roof tiles and nano-sealed roof tiles.
