The shear bolt connects the auger to its drive shaft. In the event of an unintentional blockage of the auger, it acts as a predetermined breaking point. If the bolt breaks, the auger is no longer driven, thus preventing damage to the rotating parts. After replacing the bolt, the snow blower is ready for operation again in a very short time with just a few simple steps. This increases the longevity of the machine; maintenance and repair costs are significantly reduced.
